Jackie + Mike | White Oaks Barn Wedding

Jackie and Mike tied the knot with a beautiful Smokey Mountain view at their White Oaks Barn wedding. It was a little bit of an adventure getting to the day. Mike went through THREE proposal plans in three different states before getting to pop the question. First up was Charleston where he and Jackie planned a weekend getaway with their close friends. He was going to propose then celebrate with them the rest of the weekend. Unfortunately, Hurricane Matthews wrecked the east coast, and Charleston was out of the question. Next up was the north Georgia mountains, but the USPS was shut down due to the Hurricane, and he couldn’t get the ring shipped back to GA (it was already in Charleston for safe keeping), finally, he was able to make a plan with Jackie’s family in Virginia and sealed the deal right in front of the
Georgetown waterfront along the Potomac River right before sunset. Jackie said it was more than she could ever dream of!

We asked Jackie about something that is unique to their relationship. Here’s what she had to say:

“Mike and I were brought together in the most unexpected of ways. We
started out as just friends, and were later brought together after a
tragic accident made our paths cross again. We were each others
shoulder to lean on, which turned into a love and best friendship that
neither of us could have never predicted. We sat in church during our
first weekend of unexpected dates, and the entire sermon touched on
how your life will be filled with ” Plot Twists ” and this was, indeed,
a very large plot twist. Once the plot twist occurred, we never looked
back and the rest is history.”

Ok, I’m done. Someone give me a tissue. It was an honor to be able to document such a beautiful story; I have no doubt it’s just getting started.
